With its eleventh Maison, Millésime is reviving the first historic establishment in Megève: the Grand Hôtel du Soleil d’Or.
Located at the entrance to the mythical village, this emblematic establishment positions itself as the guardian of Megève identity and its values, naturally echoing those of Millésime: generosity, hospitality and welcome.
Rooms, suites and spacious chalets, restaurant, panoramic lounge bar, chocolate shop and spa open on December 6, 2019 after 15 months of work to wake up the beautiful sleeping beauty in the heart of Megève.
Each of the 16 rooms and suites in the original building reveals a unique décor designed by Marie-Christine Mecoen, both cosy with its alcoves and full of freedom with their view of the mountain.
Adjacent to the Soleil d’Or, three private chalets, with their delightfully vintage character, tell a story and offer a very high level of comfort. Each with 4 bedrooms with private bathrooms, their configuration ensures the luxury of privacy.
At the top of the Soleil d’Or is the Panoramic Bar. From up there, we sip extraordinary cocktails created by Elie Favreau and his team, and have lunch on the run, with the privilege of enjoying a breathtaking view of the historic heart of Megève and the surrounding mountains. But the show is also in it, with a replica of the village’s famous fountain filled with bottles of champagne. As dizzying as it is original, in a lounge or festive atmosphere, the bar at the Grand Hôtel du Soleil d’Or will certainly be the place to be.
A la carte Restaurant located one floor down? Mountain products, gourmet dishes typical of the region, subtly revisited by Chef Flora Mikula and presented around a concept dear to Millésime: the pleasure of sharing. Large tables, more intimate spaces, far from stereotypes, everything has been designed to make everyone feel at home.
On the ground floor, La Chocolaterie will awaken the child’s soul that lies within each of us.
The wellness area is not intended to be a classic SPA, but a real breath of fresh air as close as possible to the natural elements of stone, water and plants, like a walk in the mountains! Swimming pool, hammam, sauna, solo or duo treatments concocted by Carole Primat and her team with the French brand GEMOLOGY, world leader in natural mineral cosmetics.
