500th anniversary of Renaissance
The Loire Valley is a historic birthplace of the Renaissance in France, the land of Leonardo da Vinci – a place where 500 years ago, men accomplished great progress in multiple sectors with curiosity and courage.
2019 will mark the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci at Amboise, the start of the construction of the Château of Chambord and the birth of Catherine de’ Medici in Florence.
