Five terroirs united under one ancient vineyard, Clos Marey-Monge has produced the greatest expression of Pinot Noir since entrepreneur Vivant Micault laid the foundation stone of his winemaking empire in 1726. For almost three hundred years, Château de Pommard has evolved with every vintage, made stronger by each of the pre-eminent families who left indelible footprint in the soils. From the Marey-Monges, one of the most influential dynasties in all of Burgundy, to Famille Carabello-Baum, the fifth family now responsible to proudly propel the property forward into the future. Today, Château de Pommard is a national treasure, a place where grand architecture, biodynamic winemaking and exquisite fine wine converge among 200,000 vines.

Reinvigorated by innovation by Famille Carabello-Baum, Château de Pommard is currently inspired by a new sense of purpose and en route to become an unmissable wine education experience and breathtaking destination for Burgundy lovers. The family’s philosophy is simple: to work in harmony with the laws of nature, maintain a hands-off approach and entrust each vintage to speak for itself. In 2016, the family introduced new sustainable and biodynamic practices to further develop the delightful nuances of the wines and to conserve this special viticultural land for future generations.

Discover Burgundy’s acclaimed appellations, winemaking and history from the heart of the largest private vineyard in the Côte d’Or, founded in 1726. Our Wine Experiences are tailor-made to satisfy the five senses of all Burgundy lovers, from novices to intermediates, seasoned wine enthusiasts to dedicated connoisseurs.

Climats Experiences

Pinot Noir Experience

Vendanges Experience
Château de Pommard is delighted to offer a limited number of guests the opportunity to take part in 2017’s harvest of Clos Marey-Monge. From hand-picking grapes in the vineyard to being picky at the sorting table, this is your chance to participate in the vinification process and work alongside our team in the vineyard and the winery. An experience of a lifetime? Absolutely.
